fallen after 4 years...

By User Submitted on Tue, Aug 19th 08 at 04:47PM | Permalink | Comments (1)

I've been clean of porn for 4 years, but this morning something just took hold of me... please pray for me, I need the strength and the wisdom that only God can provide, this is not the person I am, or want to be. I'm scared now that I'll fall again. After 4 years I thought it was behind me, I promised myself I wouldn't bring that back into my life again, but I really am not sure what happened.

please just keep me in your thoughts.

Dear "FALLEN..."

Congratulations on your 4 years. What an incredible job! I'm so proud of you.

That said, take a deep breath, relax, don't freak out.

Since you first learned to walk as a baby, have you every tripped and fallen? Of course you have.

Did you freak out and say, "I'll never walk again!!!!!" ???????

No, you got up, dusted yourself off and proceeded. You may have made a mental note about the circumstances of where, when and why you fell, so that you don't repeat it.

Don't focus on the fall. You grew a beautiful four year old garden. A weed popped up. Don't let a single weed destroy your garden.

When you have a garden, you have to tend the garden. Simply take a look around at your garden. Are you spending the same amount of time with the LORD as you were when you first planted it. Is there anything you sorta let slide from your original garden plan?

You simply need to make a few adjustments. Rebuild your defenses. Take a little more action to protect yourself and clear your mind.

Don't let yourself get bowled over in an avalanche of guilt and shame.

You're an inspiration to me. I don't have four years of freedom in my past. I'm working toward it. Come back here if you feel tempted. See how hard it is for those that are struggling to start a garden. You're so far ahead or them. Don't give any of that up.

Congratulations again. The LORD teaches us that our sin is forgiven and FORGOTTEN by you asking for it to be taken away. Don't carry it around. Christ won't carry it around. You shouldn't either.

Keep up the great work.
