Vegas Update #1
The word is out XXXchurch Las Vegas. 2009 we will be making a move to Sin City. We are so excited and need your help. From interns, to people who live in Vegas, to people who can financially support this thing. The list is large but the opportunities are endless. Is rest of the Fireproof ministry moving to Las Vegas also? What's going to happen to rest of them like Heart Support?

Some of the Heart Support team are moving some our staying in GR but all of the XXXchurch team are headed to vegas. Fireproof's main office will be in Vegas.

That is great guys. As a male who has grown up in Vegas, I know first hand what kind of temptation there is out here. I will be praying for you guys and I definitely plan on getting involved if I am still out here.

I've gotta say, you guys are always ahead of the curve. For what it's worth, this feels super right to me. I'm really happy you keep going, but don't settle down. I always admire Jesus for not setting up shop in Kapernaum when his ministry got kickstarted there, but to do the bold thing and immediately move on (Luke 4:31+). I think you guys keep doing this same thing, and you are a great example for all of us.

Awesome. I grew up in Vegas, and servered on staff at 2 diffirent churches there. The need is great and God is good. I still have a heart for Vegas, Leaving Las Vegas for Oregon was one of the hardest thinsg I ever had to do, but it is evident to me that God is at work there and He will use you and the other 500 plus churches there to change the community. GodSpeed y'all!

Very cool video, but what is the plan? I hate to say it but it sounds more like hype. Late night weekday services and big money are not enough.
How do other churches in LV feel about this? Can you help them? Will you just divert their "cool" crowd away from them? Is this about outreach only? Discipleship? Shepherding? What is this about?
I cannot thank you all enough for your support in all things regarding purity. You are experts in a huge niche need, why are you starting a church?

seano, because it is needed....there are a lot a people that visit vegas and make crazy decisions and people in town that need something other than church in the burbs......

Okay, so i think that's great. You guys are really gonna get hammered and persecuted by a city who needs XXXCHURCH. Your doing the right thing. I know what it's like to do this because a few months ago God placed a calling on my life to start helping people with Porn and Masturbation. He keeps bringing people in. You guys are the purity kings - America, the world, needs what you are preaching. Please, please be cautious about getting bogged down in an area (regular church) that is not your gifting. The evil one desires to pull you away from your xxxpertise.

Wow thats gonna be kinda weird but pretty cool. I mean I plan to help you guys out by being a counselor, that is if an intern can be a counselor. I would like to be a full time worker someday for you guys.

Our relationship with Mars is still great. We probably will get to go there just about as much as we did when we lived there. We will def. visit GR as it has been such a great place for us over the last two years for this ministry.
