As I said in a previous comment, please refrain from distributing statistics without a source. Numbers pulled from thin air are worthless.

after watching the nightline debate with you and ron jeremy, i noticed that the argument against pornography seems to be relatively baseless with the conspicuous absence of the Gospel. there really is no terrific reason for the majority of the populace to stop watching or participating in pornography absent a changed heart by Christ's redeeming work. thoughts??

Yes, without the Gospel, there is no reason not to stop pornography because without Christ there would be no moral code...well, in fact there would be none of us.

Brandon: Better, but not up to standard yet. I would still like to see the reference (In tiny print will do) stuck in the corner of the flyer, and it should be more specific than you give - imagine how long it would take to search all of USA today. Include a URL or at least a date.
Kenny: My blood donor card disagrees. I am not and never have been religious, but I manage to have a moral code anyway.
Trevor: Arguments from religion only work on those who already accept the religious premise.

Oh, and it would be convenient if there were some way to tell which stat comes from which source.

I think there are many reasons for people who don't believe in the gospel to avoid porn. I have had many friends who are not believers in Jesus Christ realize that porn is not a good thing to get involved in. Kind of weird to me to think that porn only doesn't make sense if you believe the gospel. Just as over eating is not healthy regardless of your beliefs.

Well, i agree with johnny on this one. There are other reasons for people who are not Christians, or a part of any 'religion' to avoid porn.
-(Sorry i do not have a source), but assuming it were fact; excessive masturbation could lead to i believe it is either cancer in the bladder, or prostate ( im not a doctor i couldnt make for certain).
-It can destroy marriages.
-Make you, spend money. Which you wouldnt have to spend if watching porn wasnt a habit.

Over time it makes it difficult to enjoy sex with a human without it. If you are into sex with yourself for the rest of your life, porn is not a problem. But sex, or the ability to be initmate with another human is diminished because you have trained your body to rely on the sex. I am in ministry that walks with people who have been in the sex industry. This is the story I have heard countless times, that they lose the ability to have sex without porn. Very sad. Good reason for all to forgo it no matter what your beliefs.

Actually, it seems to have a slight preventative effect on prostrate cancer. No correlation to bladder cancer I am aware of either way.
People still pay for porn? :> It's more pirated than music.
