SIERRA LEAVES PORN

On the podcast this week is Sierra. A now ex porn star, Sierra speaks out about the craziness of the industry and how it took a toll on her personally. Sierra has dreams away from porn and we hope to make those a reality through helping her through the Esther Fund. Hear her story, her dreams and hopes for the future on Episode 71.

Below is an excerpt from our friend Shelley Lubben's blog and a video of Sierra sharing some of her story. Shelley is walking alongside Sierra, guiding and caring for her as she embarks on a new chapter of her life. Take a moment and encourage Sierra on this blog.











"I met Sierra last week and she is precious! I met her through myspace and she agreed to let me come to her home and visit with her. She shared with me how she came from a violent childhood and moved around a lot as a child and that she began stripping at a young age which ultimately led her to acting in porn movies. Sierra admitted to me that porn shattered her life and that she wants out. She also has a five year old daughter who doesn't live with her and she wants so much to be with her again. Please watch this VIDEO of Sierra sharing her feelings about porn.While I was at Sierra's, she showed me her amazing creativity. She has this awesome talent to create braided shirts.
She blew my mind how fast she was able to braid a shirt. I asked her what she would like to do with her life and she says she would love to start a t-shirt company. I suggested that design school would be great for her and she agreed. She is a very hard worker and just wants a different option in life other than porn.After Sierra and I spent time together, she called me a few days later and told me she just can't do porn anymore and even cleaned up her myspace and let her fans know. This is NOT easy for Sierra and so she will need our support and love through this. Please leave encouraging comments to Sierra at this blog. The porn industry will probably lash out at her for this so let's make sure we stand with her as she courageously leaves porn!"

Dear Sierra;
You are showing an incredible amount of courage taking the stand you are, and I would definitely want to support and encourage that! I pray you'll be able to stay strong against something that has been a big (although destructive, as you have come to realize) part of your life until now. No doubt you may be tempted to give in, as I'm sure there's some financial reasons to do so, but hang in there!! It's better to be poor in the bank, than poor in spirit! Your reward will come. Perhaps not in financial ways, but other ways. May you and your daughter be blessed for years to come because of your decision!

Welcome to the largest, strangest, most eclectic family you've ever seen. You're loved. By us and by Jesus. You, and all the others that have had the strength to leave are an inspiration to me.

There are no guarantee this will be easy, but it will be filled with more love and support that you know.

I am so proud of your decision to leave the porn industry! You are a courageous woman and I know God will supply you with everything you need to take a stand, though it will still be extremely difficult and tempting to return at times.

I pray for Christ to do a deep work and healing in your heart. Remember, those who are in Christ are a new creation! The old has gone and the new has come! (2 Corinthians 5:17). You can rest on God's truth and promises! Fix your eyes on Jesus!

Well done on taking such a brave step, by what you are doing you will be a blessing to so many girls that you may not even realise.
You're so lucky coz with Shelley and the guys from xxxchurch who truly love you and want to help you've got great support. You won't ever be alone in this, remember that.

I don't even know you and I am so proud of the (difficult and extremely impressive) steps you have already taken to improve your life, and I'm sure the lives of others through the changes they will continue to observe in you. Thank you for being courageous enough to do this.

Thank you so much for deleting the TRUTH. All you Christians are FAKES. Does the Bible not speak of truth and lies? Is it not God's way to let the truth be known? This website is a joke if that's the case. The Christian faith is a joke as well! Deleting my previous comments that speak only but the truth shows how God-fearing you so-called Christians are! Other websites will make it known everything else you refuse to!

Way to go Sierra. As a one time viewer of Porn let me apologize and ask for your forgivenss for taking part in the very system that you had to escape. Thanks to the grace of God I have found a new life without porn. I know that you will find a new life too.

I look at you and I'm devasted because of your inability to have intimacy right now. It's a familiar thing but we have hope! God is the one who restores all things and only He can take the broken glass of our lives and make something beautiful. Not only will you make it, but your example will lead many others to join you and find healing and life and peace in Jesus. Let no one judge you and remember these words, for the oppression will come, I rebuke you in Jesus name. Whether it's for Satan or porn kings or whoever, remember. There is power in God's ways and I pray you will hear and follow and let Shelly and others help you. It's a difficult road, but one filled with healing and life the farther you travel.....
