Miami Porn Show 2008 - NEW VIDEO
Day 1 - The first day is complete at the Miami Porn Show. More people, more glam and of course more porn, mark our second visit down to South Beach. We brought 3500 Bibles down to Miami and are not planning to take any home. Also, check out the new JLPS cutout - a new addition to Porn Show outreach booth.
It was a great day at the show to say the least. Highlights include...
One - A great team of volunteers from South Florida have stepped up to help out for the weekend, a couple of them even drove five hours to be here. It was awesome to see them work the floor at the show, We are thrilled the Florida Gals are here to help.
Two - JLPS Cutout is a hit! We had a cheap custom cutout made for the porn shows, kind of like those muscle man / woman touristy cutouts you see on vacation. It is straight gaudy and people are loving it. Check it out here.
Three - The Miami Herald stopped by the booth and interviewed Craig and took some photos. This story will run this Sunday Morning. Yea South Florida!

Day 2 - It is 11:30pm and the show is just now wrapping up. Today was a great day. The team at this show has been great. The JLPS cut out is amazing! You got to see the team individual photos in the cut out. A few highlights for me were:
Several conversations with people that asked how we afford to do what we do. Questions about how much the Bibles were and how big this outreach is. Bottom line, people get it. People get that there are real tangible costs to do what we do and they all seemed genially thankful because we cared enough to come to what we do. So many people ask us if the Bibles are free and if they can have one and to see peoples faces light up when we say yes you can take one is just the sweetest feeling. The fact of the matter is that we do care and there are a group of people that believe in this ministry that do care about visitors to Exxxotica Miami. It is a thrill to know that we are bringing good news to people. That is our job here. That is why we got on a plane. That is what we signed up for
My wife talked to a man who liked what we did. He said he understood what our ministry was all about because he knew someone that lost a marriage because of porn and someone who was addicted to porn. He then admitted it was him. Honesty on a show room floor is refreshing but also sad...
Megan, one of our volunteers. We met her via the Internet because she shared her confession with us. I got to spend some time listening to her story today. A transformed life. We shot a video with her that will come out later.
That's all I got for now. Jeanette and I are headed to a Pursuit Christian Church Sunday morning.

P.S.S - I might have had a slight altercation with a protester that ended with me throwing his sign in the street and then cars running it over. Just maybe. There is no point to it I know. You can't change these people's minds. You can't out argue them. I just wish they would go away. I get so mad when I see what they do and hear the things that come out of their mouths. I could not just stand there and listen to such garbage. So, I took his sign....I am sure El Clinto will edit that video later. Jesus came for the sick not the healthy and nothing makes me madder then listening to people who think they are so healthy.
Day 3 - The show is a wrap and we are on our way home early Monday morning. All the Bibles were gone by midday on Sunday. It was a great show in Miami. Check out all the photos from the show on Flickr and of course check the photo of the fine protester.

God BLESS! I am doing everything possible so that Castos por Amor, an apostolic movement of the Archdiocese of Miami, will be involved in with your efforts.
I was inspired by the Holy Spirit to do a pro-purity demosntration at 3 pm (Hour of the Divine Mercy) outside of the convention. One group fo young ppl will do the way of the cross, the chaplet of purity and the chaplet of divine mercy, while another group tears up pornographic material such as playboy/hustler magazines, dvds/videos, and "toys" by any means possible (hand, garden shears, sledge hammers, ect.)
I am in the process of galvanizing support through Castos por Amor. I will advice on the progress shortly.

I'm sorry... did you forget that Jesus himself went out and hung out w/prostitutes and outsiders. people who needed to hear the word of God on a different level. you do not speak for Christians when you blow out hate and bitterness. that is not Christ like. this ministry is making a difference regardless of your approval (or lack of). maybe you aren't familiar this ministry but it does make a difference in many people's lives. bashing others is not going to show Christ's love for them.

I liked the article about you guys down in Miami. Even though I don't subscribe to the Miami Herald or live near Miami, I am still glad it's going out. Until we meet again, Brandon, until we meet again...
Well... not that I am comparing you to Jesus but He got really ticked off at the Pharisaical counterfeits too... and even turned over property that belonged to others. So yeah... I guess we know WWJD?

Get what Brandon??? Jesus??? How many people accepted Christ at the porn convention? Cause if the answer is ZERO...then they didn't get anything. They left the same way they came in......empty hearted.
What happens if Jesus comes back tonight? All those people you've spent time "planting seeds with" and refusing to share the message of the cross just lost out. Every thought about that? Or what happens if they went home from the porn convention and shot themselves because no one shared the love of Christ with them and told them the ONE WAY to Heaven. They lost out.
"Emergent" Christianity is the wrong way. Not sure if you'll understand that or not but I would love to have this "conversation" with you in person.

So basically, everyone at the porn convention that came into contact with XXXChurch NOW UNDERSTANDS that it cost money to run a ministry. WOW! That's deep. Praise God!!

In other words, where's your score sheet?...ya know, the one you keep in your back pocket of all the people "Sandy" has lead to the Lord...ya know, the one you show off to other Christians and non-believers who you think you're going to convert, who you think you're better than?

Sandy we are called to question when we feel that the Gospel isn't being portrayed as it should but keep in mind that we should do so in a respectful and Loving manner. To dig to the root of your Question I would have to ask you what is it that you think that Craig and his team of Disciples are doing that is so wrong?
You say that they are Bible Pushing, well it seems to me that they bring all those Bibles and if someone wants one they hand them out I don't see these people sticking them in the pockets of people as they walk by.
You seem to assume that you also know that not a single person accepted the "Good News" that Craig and Disciples were delivering that day. The thing about planting a seed is that it may not grow today but if it got planted deep enough and touched their heart it will Grow. Not everyone that comes to know the Lord radically changes over night I know I did'nt its part of our sinful nature.
I would suggest that you have some concrete evidence before you accuse these people of things you don't know they're guilty of. I've been reading and watching this group of people for some time now and I've got a good idea that their heart is in the right place and they're doing the "Dirty Work" of what real Christians should be engaging. God Bless them for answering Gods calling for them.

The guy's name was Doug. I've been frequenting Ray Comfort's blogg for a while to chat it up with him and some of the people there. His wife happenned to be the first comment on one of his posts and talked about the "So called Christian," who dragged their bannder (Be Ye Holy, for I am Holy) across the street.
What was it that they were saying? I've been posting back and fourth with them for a while, and though I don't agree with all of their theology I've never had any issues with them attacking me on anything.
I don't blame you. Not one bit.
