The Holidays
Holidays can be quite stressful under normal conditions but when a marriage is suffering that level of stress is magnified.
Our focus needs to be where our hearts should be... completely on GOD. Without His grace sometimes a normal day is hard to get through. We tend to focus on ourselves and what we wish we had instead of being grateful for what the Cross enables us to do because of His sacrifice.
I challenge you this holiday season to pour out God's love onto others. Find a place to serve whether it is a nursing home, a hospital or a local mission. Serve. You will get out of yourself and into the lives of others. This will bring a sense of joy and peace back into your heart.
Don't do it because I said so... do it because He said so.
John 13:34
"A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another.
Romans 12:10
Be devoted to one another in brotherly love. Honor one another above yourselves.
Hebrews 10:24
And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds.
Happy New Year!
If you want to believe that scenerio, it's cool, we are all entitled to an opinion.

Interesting this morning I awoke to these Scriptures...
I will give generously to others without a grudging heart. (Deuteronomy 15:10)
I will not withhold good from those to whom it is due, when it is in my power to act. (Proverbs 3:27)
A generous man will prosper, and he who waters will himself be refreshed. (Proverbs 11:25)
He who oppresses the poor reproaches their Maker, but whoever is kind to the needy honors Him. (Proverbs 14:31)
He who is kind to the poor lends to the Lord, and He will reward him for what he has done. (Proverbs 19:17)
He who is generous will be blessed, for he shares his food with the poor. (Proverbs 22:9)
I will learn to do good, seek justice, remove the oppressor, defend the orphan, and plead for the widow. (Isaiah 1:17)
Is this not the fast You have chosen: to loose the bonds of wickedness, to undo the cords of the yoke, and to let the oppressed go free and break every yoke? Is it not to share our food with the hungry and to provide the poor wanderer with shelter; when we see the naked, to clothe him, and not to turn away from our own flesh? Then our light will break forth like the dawn, and our healing will quickly appear, and our righteousness will go before us; the glory of the Lord will be our rear guard. Then we will call, and the Lord will answer; we will cry, and He will say, “Here I am.†If we put away the yoke from our midst, the pointing of the finger and malicious talk, and if we extend our souls to the hungry and satisfy the afflicted soul, then our light will rise in the darkness, and our gloom will become like the noonday. (Isaiah 58:6-10)
Whoever gives another a cup of water to drink because of his name as a follower of Christ will by no means lose his reward. (Mark 9:41)
When I give, it will be given to me; good measure, pressed down, shaken together, running over, will be poured into my lap. For with the measure I use, it will be measured back to me. (Luke 6:38)
Thank you! I needed this...to be reminded of where my thinking should be and that in order to get through the struggles I must place my faith in Him...thank you.
