The Donald With Some Bad Advice

By Craig on Nov 19, 09 at 06:05 PM | | Comments (17)

Just read this all over the Internet:

Donald Trump has pretty much summed up what everyone else is thinking. When Carrie Prejean called him for advice, he told her to release the sex tape and make the dough.

After making “the biggest mistake of her life”, doing a solo sex tape (or eight), she tucked her tail between her legs and shut up about her lawsuit against the Miss California pageant.

Now, she’s dialing up the one man who she thought would give her some practical advice, The Donald. And what does he tell her? Give up the goods and donate the cash.

According to sources, Trump told her that, “Maybe she should become a major porn star, make millions of dollars, and give it to worthy causes.”

What do you all think about this?

She should burn the tape and turn to the Lord. Like Paul says, flee from sexual immorality! Please Carrie, for the sake of your dignity and self-respect, do not go for the 'easy route' of porn! There are more hidden dangers than you realise and God wants what's best for you through Jesus. I pray that you make the right decision and do not follow Donald Trump's advice - the money you will make selling the tape will be tainted and not be an offering pleasing to any of the charities.

I think it is devastating to live in a world where people with such a high profile, like Trump, have so little appreciation for the sanctity of the individual. It makes me want to cry for the people everywhere who feel that exploiting themselves is the best way to make money. My heart breaks for everyone who finds themselves in similar situation. I just pray for restoration for all those involved is such situations.

i think donald is a short-sighted stuck up douchebag who cares heck of a lot more about the dimes in his bag than he does about the wellbeing of another person. way to go Mr. Trump! just great

You know, I'm really not a big fan of Trump. He's an egomaniac. But this is some damn good advice. Prejean is a close-minded Prima Donna, and a bigot. Her popularity has done nothing but hurt the people around her. If Prejean really wants to play philanthropist, she needs to stop spewing hate and do some good.

Trump's message was not to go the 'easy route'. He was telling her to stop whining, move on, and do something worthwhile. This girl does not deserve the attention she gets - she has done nothing but look pretty and gay-bash.

All that said, I would totally pay for a nude tape!

Personally I believe Donald is doing this as a form of manipulation. Its sending a negative message and a positive message to her(your worthless but you can make lots of money), perhaps he's setting up his next wife...For some odd reason women like these negs as their called. I used to like to hear what he has to say(in the business worls) as a finance guy, I respected him but no more.."your a bald loser"...ohh and craig thanks for speaking at promise keepers I have accepted your challenge..I have found one person(they said no problem) that I can trust and another person to hold me accountable(just awaiting there okay) to hold myself accountable...on behalf of everyone there thanks again for speaking!!

my first thought was that Donald is practical atheist according to that source :

http://videoteaching.com/message/63/i-trust-in-money

i dont really know what this guy believes or not or pretends to believe.
But this story needs more details i think.
Donald told to miss Carrie to become a pornstar.
My point is that maybe that miss Carrie has a lot of teenage fans, who now think that beign pornstar is honorable job and they accept making and watching porn as normal thing, like watching ordinary tv shows.

And here is second point too: when Carrie really start a porn career and makes million and then gives millions to charity then is is worth it ?

Well maybe yes, for ex. millions of children get their food but what price for ?

And maybe Carrie hit porn movies could destroy hundreds of families and husbands start to try to kill themself because of quilt , addiction and loneliness?

Then is it really worth to feed millions of children in the third world, when possibly hundreds of families could be destroyd?

My opinion in that it is very complicated and hard to find the truth but one thing i can say that it is unethical to start a porn career when you are a miss.

Craig your thoughts on that case ?

I think that this shows that Christians should be really slow to jump on the bandwagon of pop-culture figures.

Prejean fumbled through an answer on gay relationships and suddenly many in the church elected her for sainthood . . .

. . . even without this "revelation" of a sex tape, I think Christians should have been reluctant to back someone who was part of an organization that parades women around in tiny binkinis.

Christian women in beauty contests? Aren’t they already soft-porn stars by entering such a contest? And isn't it the same lustful show when young Christian women dress in short skirts for cheerleading? Each of us has to make a decision: Are we a part of the world or a part of the kingdom of God? By choosing the latter that’s obviously going to restrict our choices relative to the unbeliever.

Doesn’t anyone see the hypocrisy for a woman who parades her near naked body for the lustful enjoyment of others to tell gays how to live their lives?

For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes (for beauty), and the pride of life is not of the Father, but is of the world (1 John 2:16).

Beauty is almost always a test, if not a trap that leads us to covetousness and envy.

Beauty is a characteristic of God bestowed in honor upon a woman. A woman delights in the beauty God has given her. Do not diminish Carrie's beauty, nor any “cheerleaders,” as mere worldly lust or “soft porn” in your eyes. Carrie’s beauty is to be admired in the view of God's light. She is a radiantly, beautiful woman of God, intelligently wise in making a moral stand for marriage. She should be verbally praised not degraded nor suggested to be sold as a mere commodity! Allow God to continue to form her dress standards in His love and guidance. Stop darkening and devaluing women’s beauty due to your poor, criticizing view. Social and sexual codes in our society today crush women’s integrity and propriety. Carrie is a daughter of God; treat her with respect!

I think she'll find a way to stop this. I think it's too much of her advocacy/brand to being a morally upstanding person to let this just slip into the mainstream.

Why does she do it? Because there are a lot of douchebags out there who specialize in manipulating women to do these kind of things believe it or not! We know a lot of guys think it's macho to bag a hot chick and have her complete some dirty fetish, but we don't always recognize that they may very well be very good at getting good, Christ-centered women to love them.

@Jennifer

Before you condemn Oliver so harshly, please think over what you have said once again. Although I agree with you that she deserves praise for speaking her mind, when she knew it was going to cost her the title, she deserves nothing but severe chastisement for making those tapes. How can you expect some guy to value her beauty when she is dressed in a bikini or completely naked? Can you see beauty in a guy when he is unclothed?

Is there really any need for so much skin-show in those contests? The message she sends to millions of young girls watching that trash is - if you are not well endowed naturally, get your body altered surgically! Does she deserve praise for this? And to top it all, she says that the Bible does not have anything against breast implants! Why does she think it a mistake when the Bible does not prohibit making sex tapes?

She does not deserve praise for anything other than speaking of God on stage.

Jennifer wrote on November 20, 2009 at 09:05 PM

Superman,
“She does not deserve praise for anything other than speaking of God on stage.”
Your arrogant comment is a complete lie. You belittle Carrie’s esteem to a bikini body and a poor role model in a “trash”y beauty contest. And just because Carrie had breast surgery, now you feel entitled to graffiti her faith and body in disrespect? Your arguments are invalid. Carrie is a temple of God, an adopted child, full of the Holy Spirit, belonging to a royal priesthood, the light of the world, the salt of the earth, a member of Christ’s body, One with Him. How dare you insult her beauty because she models in a bikini and made a sex-tape while a minor. Carrie has accepted full responsibility for the misconduct of the sex-tape. As for your ruling of “severe chastisement” - Christ has purchased her past faults through His blood. If you have a problem with that justice, may I suggest you take it up with Him and examine yourself? Carrie is free from all condemnation in Christ. End of story. We are in the Church of God – XXXChurch.
Both the male and female body are created in the image of our Glorious God. Of course the male body is that of glory, which we should all highly esteem. Stop stealing other people’s value due to your guidelines and performance standards. Even though God’s given me the conviction not to wear a bikini, I don’t point the Pharisee finger at those who do; both male and female.

For crying out loud... She went to Donald Trump. Wonder why she asked him? Publicity maybe? Would anyone really expect for him to say anything else? She knew what he would say. I doubt that either one has their mind on God, but (rest assured) God knows what is in their hearts... and ours as well.

Jimmy1 wrote on November 21, 2009 at 03:09 AM

Whoa folks!

When in doubt see what the Word of God says. There is no where in scripture where God says anything less than for men and women to keep themselves pure (1 Peter 1:15-16). If she or anyone else, has made mistakes in their past there is forgiveness in Jesus Christ, so let's quit judging her. Secondly, lets remember that the media says a lot of things, about half of which are true. Thirdly, under no circumstances should a christian or non-christian allow themselves to be abused by the porn industry. Porn NEVER honors God. Even though God made women beautiful, that isn't for our consumption (1 John 2:16). That is for her future husband only.

God bless all of you on your journey.

I think that Donald Trump is bored. Mainly because there's not much excitment in his life, but what else is there to do when you've gained everything the world offers and lost your own soul along the way...

Joshua wrote on November 27, 2009 at 01:23 AM

Jennifer,

I am 20 year old male severly addited to porn, and I am also masochistic.

First of all, Prejan handled the question very well and is no worse sinner than anyone else.

However, I think you miss the point of the other posters. When women dress up in a revealing way it causes men to lust for them. Why do we need to tempt each other into sin? I don't think there is any man that could watch that contest without being aroused atleast to some extent.

Also, there is absolutely nothing wrong with beauty. However, beauty is vain, and a woman that loves the lord is to be praised. --Proverbs.

What makes a woman a woman is not her beauty.
