Hello XXXchurch staff. My name is Danée, I'm 20 years old and I'm from Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada. I was introduced to your ministry about a year and a half ago by my boyfriend Grant (now my husband of 9 months and counting!!). He told me about his struggles with pornography, showed me XXXwatch and put me on the accountability email. We were soon downloading podcasts and more recently have been reading some of the blogs on the website and listening to Dirty Little Secrets.
You guys need to know how encouraging your ministry is! The awareness you raise and all the resources available in dealing with pornography addiction is astounding! Thank you so much for being humble and following God's calling! From all the hours spent filming, writing/editing books/blogs, creating software, working at porn shows, having porn & pancakes/pastries, working with volunteers and sponsors, dealing with rude people and criticism ...and on and on... it is evident that you all have big servant hearts.

The unconditional love you show to the girls in the strip clubs, the tourists on the strip and to anyone you come in contact with is so uplifting. I believe God will continue to open peoples' hearts to have the same love that you have for all who are directly or indirectly involved with the porn industry. Thank you for being the Christ-like example of what it means to love all kinds of people, no matter what they have done. Judgmental Christians are very discouraging to me and they do not make a very good name for those who are really trying to be like Christ!

My husband and I will continue to pray for those impacted from the ministry and those serving in it. We are also praying that in His time we can come down and volunteer in some way. Thanks again and be encouraged that there are people out there praying for you!

Hi Craig and Team,   I watched your video, "Missionary Positions" and watched your debates with Ron Jeremy. I'm not a church goer, but I must say I am impressed by your appoach...open minded, accepting of all people, even if not accepting of their practices.   I have seen people profoundly affected by the adult sex industry, how it can break people's spirits (whether Chrisitian or not) and affect their personal lives. Of course, it causes damage to some more than others...as do drugs and alcohol.   One point that I have not heard you make, is that many women who get into the porn industry have in their pasts been victims of abuse...and I feel, that even those women who make a conscious "choice" to go into porn...in fact are not making a choice...the abuse that they have suffered robs many women of their sense of self worth and of the choices they make with their own bodies. When people continue to buy into porn, in my opinion, it only perpetuates that abuse.   Thank you again for your good work and your open, approachable attitude. I must say, I'm not used to seeing Evangelical Christians from this perspective, and I found it refreshing and encouraging.   Sincerely,   Kim

I just finished reading some of the hatemail that you guys have posted and I couldn't believe some of the hate coming from "christians".  I think that they may have missed the whole talk that Jesus had about judging others.  These are Jesus' words not mine from Matthew 7.  "Do not judge, or you too will be judged.  For in the same way you judge others, you will be juged, and with the measure you use, it will be measured to you.  Why do you look at the speck of sawdust in your brother's eye and pay no attention to the plank in your own eye?  How can you say to your brother, 'Let me take the speck out of your eye,' when all the time there is a plank in your own eye?  You hypocrite, first take the plank out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck from your brother's eye."  Once again those are Jesus' words not mine and who am I to say whether everything that XXX church is doing is right.  No, I will leave that up to God.  But I can tell you with confidence that, "there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus" and there will be no condemnation for the people in the XXX church who carry out the very last command that Jesus gave to us before he left the earth, "Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age."

I came across an article which spoke about what you are doing and was dissapointed to hear that most of the crticism comes from christians. I am a christian and I just want to say to keep up the good fight and do the Lord's will. You are going where so many do not want to go. Jesus said not to judge anyone because that is his job, instead love each other. Porn is such a huge issue that many want to keep swept under the rug, but I am glad you have stepped in the gap and are bringing help and salvation to people who need it. I am a sister in Christ who wants to encourage you. Keep praying and stay faithful to the Lord. I pray that he may keep using you to touch lives through his strength and grace.

Thanks for what your doing.  I picked up Dirty Little Secret a while ago and just now got to checking out your site and wanted to send you some love-mail out of appriciation and understanding.  I see the need and rejoice in your ministry.  I'm an 11th grade Bible teacher as well as a small group leader of junior high guys as well as a guy (enough said) and it's awesome that you guys have just such a ministry to address such an incredibly hot/silenced (or forbidden)/important/natural topic.  I'm becoming more and more aware of the need to address this in my own church and with my friends just for the benifits to our pursuit of purity if not to possibly seriously help some body.   My wife an I don't have much money...  but I'd like to support you some time...for now I will indeed keep you in my prayers!  Aspire for authenticty in holiness!  The Church needs you guys and your ministry!  Even your pimped out XXX Church SUV! Does your heart not just break for the hate-mailers?    Indeed God will judge, you guys will get mountains of purity rings for rewards!  I'd like to see that actually!  

I just got done reading some of your many hate mail letters. It does not surprise me the anger and venom that is spewed by the uninformed and supposedly loving "Christians" towards your ministry. They do not seem to understand it is a ministry for the unsaved not for the Church. I am an Assemblies of God Pastor in rural Indiana. I will tell what I told your friend and former partner in holy crime J.R. at a conference in Houston recently. I was raised in a God fearing Christian home. I was exposed to porn by m older brother at the age of 10 approx.  struggled with all consuming appetite for this drug until the age of 35. I went to Bible college got married and 13 years later received a phone call late one night at work from my wife saying, "It's over". She divorced me as I failed over and over again in my addiction. I lost my family including my three kids. I went from playboy, to chatting, viewing porn online to meeting people in person. I became heavily involved in the swinging scene in my area. I was so upset the night my wife kicked me out I met a married women in my hotel for sex. So believe me I know of what I speak. It robbed me of my dignity my ministry and my family. Almost 5 years ago God has restored my family,ministry and dignity through the power of His Holy Spirit! Because of ministries such as yours people are being exposed to the truth of God's love! I sought help through pure life ministries and much counseling prayer and the love of an amazing women who never gave up on me even when she divorced me, I Am FREE! I am currently planting a new church in my hometown addressing some of the same sin I have came out of! Keep up the good work and never compromise your message. The message of the Cross!!! Paul became all things to all people to reach them you are doing the same thing. Doing everything short of sin!! People are worth it God Bless all of you. God does love Porn Stars..

The testimonies of the x porn industry people are amazing. I thank God for them and will continue to pray and try and serve them. Continue to touch them and let them know of the Love and Joy we experience in Him who saved us. A lot of Christians want to just “overcome” this sin. I am happy to see that you are trying to rid a hindrance so that the fellowship can begin. Continue to make it more then just being free from fornication. If a man if free of an addiction to porn and not grounded in the gospel he will be subject to the enemy in other ways. I am thankful for you.

I was just checking out some of the lovemail, and i decided to drop you a line.  I wanted to thank you so much for the encouragement, the honesty, and the love all of you associated with xxxchurch have given me when i was struggling the most.  I also wanted to thank you for the great resources you provide for shedding light on a subject that breaks so many hearts.  Today a friend of mine (we are apart of Campus Crusade) downloaded and printed off some of the stat sheets and handed them out to some of the 2,000 kids at my community college (UW- Fox Valley).  In the background we had your video podcasts playing with a huge banner saying xxxchurch.com the #1 christian porn site   We also put some thoughts about the what the Bible says about love.  It was so cool to see God speak to so many people and to tell them they are valuable for who they are.  I talked with people who were shocked, understanding, oblivious, appalled, and some who were in the porn industry!  You guys are doing what Jesus has called us to do... be real, be honest, and love because we are loved!  Thank you to all you guys for following His calling on your life and hanging in there when the times are tough!  We are one family, sticking together! 

I know you guys get a lot of hate mail... Now it's my turn:

I hate that I was stuck in porn from the age of eleven and felt the "the church" wouldn't accept me because of it. I hate that I was trapped in bondage with no hope, no life, no freedom, no joy, no love and "the church" had nothing to offer.  I hate that when I finally found people who love me enough to not judge me but tell me that I'm not alone, many in "the church" write them hate mail saying that what they're doing is wrong. I hate that the church of Jesus has gone back to the old covenant thinking that performance can save us, that we have to put on fake smiles and fake lives in front of "fellow brothers and sisters" to keep the machine moving. GOD FORBID WE NOT BE PERFECT!!!!!!!! I hate that I had a fifteen year addiction that crippled me, my relationship with God, and my relationship with my wife.  I hate that there are still people in "the church" who don't believe that we REALLY ARE just a bunch of sinners that Jesus loves anyway.  I hate that the devil has deceived us into thinking that we can accomplish purity by self-will. I hate that the devil has tricked us into looking at all the rules again and ignoring the beauty of the scriptures that proclaim the love of Christ.  I hate that the devil has reduced the greatest thing that has ever happened to mankind, the reconciliation of ALL THINGS to a religious system that feeds guilt, shame, and performance evaluation.  Oh... also, I hate porn.

Thank you for being a voice of love to a world (and a church) that is in such desperate need of Father's undying, unconditional love.

I have struggled with porn since I was 12 (6 years ago). I got saved at 13 but I have continued with this struggle. It started with romance novels and escalated to pictures then videos. I really just wanted to tell you how much your site has helped me.
When I am on the internet and I want to go to a porn site I find myself typing in your site instead and it gives me support.
I was reading your hatemail which is what prompted me to write this. As I read these people throwing scripture at you and telling you to 'repent or go to hell' I couldn't help but cry for them. I kept thinking 'Lord, save me from your followers.' I pray for you and your ministry regularly and I thank you for all you have endured in order to make this site, it really has helped a lot of people.
