Vegas Update #3

If you received the e-newsletter you heard about a Vegas get together. Here are the dates and the details:

What: An evening where we share the vision of XXXchurch Las Vegas with the fine folks that care and are interested in supporting this. Night will include a short presentation and dessert. Staff and X3 Board members will be present. Space is limited so RSVP as soon as possible.

Who: For anyone that is interested. If you are married bring your spouse, If you are single come alone or bring a friend. The event is free but you have to get yourself to Las Vegas and find a place to stay. If your boss is a millionaire bring him or her.

When: Friday, November 14th, 2008, 8pm.

Where: The Venetian Hotel in Las Vegas. (Ballroom name will be given to those who RSVP)

The Venetian Hotel is on the Las Vegas strip. A short taxi ride from the airport. If you are looking for hotels to stay at, the closest to the venue would be:

The Venetian

The Palazzo

Treasure Island

The Wynn

Feel free to book a room anywhere you like, those are just the closest. We plan on having some time on Saturday to set up individual meetings with different people to answer more questions and give some more insight.

If you stick around Saturday night and make a weekend out of this, we are all thinking about
hitting up the new Cirque du Soleil - Believe show.

My name is Kendra and I live here in Las Vegas and I have never heard of you guys before but I believe that what you are doing is truly amazing. I would love to come and see what you are doing. Had a question....do you guys get help from ministries that are in Las Vegas and from whom? I currently go to a Baptist reformed church hear in Las Vegas but wanted to know if you are affiliated with any churches here or around the country. I will try to come (since it is like down the street). This is so important and especially here in Las Vegas. I am wondering why other churches here have not even attempted to see this as a great ministry when it is in there own back yard! See you there.

Craig hello, first of all let me say that I do not find anyting on this website informative at all. To me this is yet another vechicle for the conservative right winged Christian evangelisitc movement to try and populize its agenda. I look forward to confronting you (not debating because debating with people like yourself who use anything to push their Chrisitian agenda do not debate they preach so I an willing to use the same narcissistic tactics if that means at least beginning to make my case) at Southern Ct State University on Oct. 20. Who knows it just spur me to begin my own movement and that is one that is grossly unrepresented in this country: the backlash against the Evangelistic agenda because the time to stop its influence only to cultivate governemental support is now. Well first off I want to respond to the dude on the bottom who left the comment bashing what you are doing.... I believe we are to be the church in side service and out side service... what you guys are doing is amazing, you are reaching a generation of people that have lost site of the purity in this world... you guys are going into places where other churches refuse to go.... why do we always expect non-believers to come into the church... when will we as the church go get them and tell them about Jesus... All I can say is you guys are doing effective things, it may be differnt then what most see as normal but then again... if you wont do it then who? I live in Laguna Beach, CA and I will do my best to make it out there in Nov.... my B-day is the following day so I think its a good gift... to give others the gift of HOPE and Slavation... Peace...
