This month as we delve into the pitfalls and realities of living in a sexually saturated culture, one thing is bound to happen.
We are going to create questions. Lots of them.
And it’s expected, which is why we believe so strongly in creating communities and places where people can ask these questions without shame, judgement, or getting the stink eye from someone.
As I said in last week’s post, “We can’t have it both ways.”
We can’t live in a sexualized society and even promote sexualization at times in our speech and actions and then pretend like it doesn’t exist, doesn’t impact people negatively, and doesn’t create a bunch of unanswered questions.
This type of duality just doesn’t work.
And it’s a huge reason why we get 1,000’s of people each day visiting our websites looking for advice and answers on things like:
- I just caught my kid looking at porn, how do I talk to them about it?
- Is masturbation wrong, and if it is, what am I supposed to do when I have no sex with my wife/husband?
- Is a sobriety tracking app helpful, harmful, or just plain useless?
- How do I find an accountability partner when no one wants to talk to me about it?
- And so much more…
In fact, we get so many questions that we set up a support bot to help direct people to the best answers right away without making them wait for someone to email them back.
But here’s the thing…
There are always going to be questions that are user specific and need a specific answer.
Questions that can’t just be resolved through a blog post, email, video course, or Wikipedia article.
So, we are taking a page out of the playbook many companies use to help answer the questions they get from their employees, students, and customers. And that’s by hosting weekly office hours sessions where we will answer any question you have on camera.
These Office Hour sessions will start in August but you can begin submitting your questions today by visiting our Office Hours page.
Ask any questions you have, and we will do our best to answer them each week.
Plus we will post these recordings every week so you can view them (or listen on your favorite Podcasting platforms) at your leisure and see what we have to say on the topics that you care most about.
I’m really excited about this new project and I hope it proves to be a helpful resource for our audiences and little communities.
