I love rollercoasters.  And for me, the only spot worth sitting on is in the very front.  I remember this past summer one particular ride.  I tried to look over my shoulder to my friends in the second row behind me.  Just as I went to turn my head and taunt them, the coaster went through a corkscrew and then a few loops.  Take it from me… it can be uncomfortable looking over your shoulder on a roller coaster!

As pastors, I think we all can agree that life right now probably looks and feels a lot like a roller coaster.  And amidst all the corkscrews and loops of the dynamics of our calling, it’s so uncomfortable to be in a place where we’re constantly looking over our shoulders.

 That’s what porn does.

It allures you, consumes you, and never stops calling you.  And when you give in, you have to wonder if someone will catch you.  Did the internet history get fully deleted?  What if someone uses this computer after me and finds something?  Am I leaving a trail and not even knowing it?  Looking over your shoulder is a tough place to be, but when ministry and pornography collide, that’s where you end up.

Are you looking over your shoulder?  Are you experiencing the all-too-common stress and discomfort of trying to pick up after yourself?

Lose the pride and get help.

If it’s uncomfortable for you now when you’re looking over your shoulder, imagine what it’ll be like when you get caught and everything’s in front of your face.  You don’t have to be that guy!
