“For nothing is secret, that shall not be made manifest; neither any thing hid, that shall not be known and come abroad.” – Luke 8:17
In this day and age, with all the various forms of media, scandals abound. What you do in the dark, will be made known in the light. Many people have found this out the hard way, both the famous people and not famous people. Even if you do succeed in hiding your sin until your death, God still sees it and you will have to answer for it if you do not repent.
In an article by The Huffington Post, about the secret service scandal, they write about the scandal in the secret service. This scandal claims that men in the secret service have payed for things of a sexual nature dating back even to the Clinton Administration. They ask the question, “True or not…Why would these men risk their jobs to buy sex?”
It’s a valid question. Why risk you job to buy sex? Why risk you family to buy sex? Why risk eternal life to buy sex? It will come to light. Our society has become overly sexual but even so, people still expect their leaders to be trustworthy. And when these leaders let them down, a very bad example is set.
Those convicted in this scandal will very likely lose their jobs, if not some of their relationships as well. Why risk it? It’s certainly not worth it. Have you ever been caught in something like this? What is your testimony of how God helped you through it? If you haven’t given it to God, please do. You won’t regret it.
