Here’s the … drum roll please … “Top 10 Reasons Why You Need to Talk to Your Kids about Porn.”

#1 – According to the statistics children ages 12 to 17 are one of the largest consumers of online porn.

#2 – According to McAfee, 70% of teens hide their online behavior from their parents.

#3 – Research has found that 25% of young patients at a leading private clinic are being treated for an addiction to online pornography.

#4 – Researchers say, ”The results are clear and consistent; exposure to pornographic material puts one at an increased risk for developing sexually deviant tendencies, committing sexual offences, experiencing difficulties in one’s intimate relationships, and accepting the rape myth.”

#5 – A study by the Boston University School of Public Health found that 1 in 13 teenage girls have reported having group sex. The average age of the girls having group sex is 15.

#6 – A study on female sex addicts found that exposure to pornography as a child was a stronger predictor of hypersexual behavior that sexual abuse.

#7 – 56% of divorce cases involved one person having and obsessive interest in pornographic websites according to The Witherspoon Institute. #8 – Severe clinical depression was reported twice as frequently among Internet porn users compared to non-users. #9 – Sexual addicts and sexual compulsives are 23 times more likely than those without a problem to state that, “Discovering online sexual material was the worst thing that had ever happened in their life.” (Dr. Fagan) #10 – 67% of young men and 49% of young women say viewing porn is an acceptable way to express one’s sexuality. Parents, please talk to your kids about pornography and its dangers. It’s a talk that could completely change the course of their life.
