NAME and NUMBERS of At Least 7 Men You Can Call At Any Time and Be Accountable To Consistently
Call them when you are tempted to begin the rituals you go through that lead to viewing pornography or when you are being triggered by something or someone that would tempt you to view pornography.
An unaccountable man is an accident waiting to happen. If you don’t have someone asking you after you go on a business trip, “how did you do?” you’re an accident waiting to happen.
Scriptural Basis:
Ecclesiastes 4:9-12
“Two are better than one because they have a good return for their labor.
For if either of them falls, the one will lift up his companion. But woe to the one who falls when there is not another to lift him up.
Furthermore, if two lie down together they keep warm, but how can one be warm alone?
And if one can overpower him who is alone, two can resist him. A cord of three strands is not quickly torn apart.”
OWN Your Recovery
Take Responsibility! Change begins when you take responsibility and own your pornography struggle as your problem. Don’t blame anyone or anything else. You chose to look at porn, nobody forced you to.
“One day, pornography is not going come up to you and say, Look, it’s okay if you don’t want to use me anymore. Change has to start from within. It’s up to you to make it happen”
Scriptural Basis:
Romans 14:12
“Yes, each of us will give a personal account to God.”
PLAN for A Porn-Free Environment
Put a screensaver of your wife on your computer (if married) and children (if you have children); place pictures of your wife place the computer in an open place where anyone can see; share your computer password with your wife; put Scriptures on your screensaver; place post-it notes with Scriptures on your computer; and eliminate the premium channels on your cable. You may need to take a different route to work, and stop going into certain stores, or visiting a certain office, home, or room where there is sexually-oriented material or obvious temptations.
Scriptural Basis:
Matthew 26:41
“All of you must keep awake (give strict attention, be cautious and active) and watch and pray, that you may not come into temptation. The spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.”

For you have been bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body.”
