Have you checked out the Letters section of our site lately?  We regularly get some very powerful letters people write to their sexually addicted self and from their sexually addicted self.  What this exercise does is allow you to play out the battle between flesh and spirit on paper (or on the computer screen in most cases).

Why is this important?  Because, the struggle to maintain purity is a daily one and it’s too easy to get distracted from what is really going on in your mind and heart.  However, when we commit that struggle to writing it allows us to see the true nature of our problem and gives us the opportunity to step back and reflect on what we need to do to be free from sexual addiction and sin.

I want to share with you a portion of a recent letter that was submitted. She writes …

“Me and you are done for my darling. This will be better for my future husband, kids, and students. THIS WILL MAKE ME BETTER. God is with me, so who can be against me? You will not win. NOT NOW, NOT EVER.

I WIN.
YOU LOSE.

All Of My Hatred,
Stronger”

Wow!  I love it.  Talk about a resolve to move forward in victory.  You can do the same thing.  Battle it out in writing … you vs. your addiction.  Then tell your addiction it’s over.

You win.

It Loses.

Merry Christmas.
