Oh Canada! My home and native land. We are such a diverse nation with our own unique culture yet there are so many things that plague us just as they do worldwide. Clearly one of those issues is pornography.
Before I get ahead of myself, I will take this opportunity to let you know who I am. My name is Amanda Carrasco and I had the priveledge of leading an amazing team of people to the Taboo Naughty but Nice Sex show in Vancouver B.C., November of 2009. I am a married mother of three who is passionate about showing people the love of Christ.
I have come from brokeness in my own personal life to find healing and freedom in Christ alone, which motivates me to see the same for others. I have followed the ministry of XXXchurch.com for the past few years and felt God impress it upon my heart to work with them to reach out at the show here in Vancouver. God has now expanded the vision to want to reach across our great nation to reach people who are suffering in a variety of ways from the sex industry.
So we now have a team:XXXchurch Canada and we are looking for team members (contact us if you are interested in being part of the team!!). We also have a plan. The plan starts out small but grows each year to more geographical locations and thus reaching more people. For the upcoming season we will be attending the Everything To Do with Sex Show in Toronto, Ontario November 18 – 21 (2010) and returning to the Taboo Naughty but Nice Sex Show January 12 – 16 (2011).
There is also development in the works for a Porn Weekend at Northside church in Coquitlam BC.
