Everyone’s been to a Super Bowl party, right? Well what about a porn party? Don’t worry, it’s not what you think!
February 6th XXXchurch is putting on National Porn Sunday!
We asked churches to sign up to host this free event. We have over 300 registered. We started to hear from people though that could not find a church close enough to their house. We started hearing from people that are holding Superbowl parties and wanted to show the video at halftime or posibly before or after the game with friends. We also, strangely enough, started hearing from some churches that “chickened out”, they said they wanted to do this but then called and said they were not “ready”.
So….. GET READY!
If you don’t like to wake up early, don’t feel like driving 70 miles to the nearest Porn Sunday, or are just looking for a little something extra to do at your Super Bowl party host a Porn Sunday Party at your house! All you need is a TV or computer on which to show the Porn Sunday simulcast! It’s easy, free and gives you an opportunity to confront the “elephant in the pew” with your friends and family.

#1.Plan!
Like we said above, all you really need to host a Porn Sunday Party at your home is a TV! When you head to www.pornsunday.com you can sign up and receive a kit with everything that you need to address this issue.
But you don’t have to stop there! Perhaps you know someone who has struggled personally with porn, or has had porn or sex addiction affect their lives… ask them to take some time to come and share their story at the party. There’s no better testimony of the power of porn than the story of someone you know personally. In addition to planning for the party, you might want to take some time to plan for what might happen after the party. Consider printing out cards with info about downloading resources from XXXchurch. We offer a free accountability software called X3Watch as well as web filters and online recovery workshops! Take a moment to research local support groups and programs that are available to help those who struggle with porn and sex addiction.
#2 Promote!
Get the word out about the party! Create a Facebook event and invite all of your friends, consider throwing up fliers around town, or submit an article with the information to local publications and radio stations! The more people that we can get the word out to, the better!
#3 Party!
This one is pretty self explanatory! Break out the chips and dip and get ready for an event that is both fun and meaningful! Take some time to introduce yourself and the ministry and explain why this cause is dear to your heart. Show the simulcast, introduce people to the resources and afterwards, cheer your team on to victory! Send us your pictures to [email protected] and videos from the event.
