Every day we walk through our lives watching all of the things that are unnerving to see. Ambushed by images by the minute. What if you begin to see soft porn on tv shows and pictures in advertisements as something that could break your heart?
What if we could simply see these images for what they are, dirty whiffs of smoke and parentheses of distraction that actually could have no real hold on us if we choose to get real about our addictions, and seek help recognizing that the images that constantly play out in front of our faces are only there to steal and kill us on the inside.
Our prayers go out to the writers and photographers and advertisers that use these cheat codes to peoples hearts and minds that they would see that love is the way and lust will never win. How about in the 40 seconds of prayer today we pray for that?
