Summer Updates
The summer is going by so fast. Festivals, Conferences, Churches, Websites, Interns and did we mention Las Vegas. Below is the latest at X3...
We have a solid group of interns. Catch up with them on the intern blog or hit them up separately: Jon, Stephen, Sammyk and Jake. The entire team has not been in the same place much this summer but last Sunday we all took a trip to Citadel of Faith in Detroit to hook up with an old friend, Harvey Carey.
Harvey prayed for our move to Vegas and in his prayer he said, "I pray
that houses sell quickly." This week Clint's house sold and my house
sold. Vegas is one step closer.
The geek squad also known as Difted have been cranking out some cool new things this summer. Check out the new Difted site when you get a chance. They have a new Heartsupport site launching later in the month as well.
We are pumped about the blogs here at X3. If you have not checked out the Get Help section of the site...do it NOW. We have blogs for the whole family. Check out what you are missing.
Big changes are in store for Dirty Little Secrets. We are retiring the Pillar intro song, the format and the name in its entirety. We just launched podcast #96 with a great interview with Jon Gordon.
We will finish out the summer with #100 and that is it. We are working
on a best and worst episode for the last show and have some special
guests lined up, including Shirley from Godhatesfags.com, authors of The Porn Trap and an ex-cam girl with an incredible testimony. Don't miss the final episodes.
What is around the corner? Well, it's simple. VIDEO.
We started the show over a phone line with no microphones, then we
bought some mics and now we have a couple of HD cameras. Why not use
them?
We will be calling it a "webisode"
instead of a podcast, since that is the new term that I learned from
Brandon. It will be called "XXXchurch" because that is what we call
this ministry.
It will have its own mini site where you
will be able to download, subscribe, stream, rss, etc. This site will
be www.xxxchurch.tv. Look for the episode #1, September 1st. New
episodes will be released every other week.
By the way...we are moving to Las Vegas. Get the info you need right HERE. Applications for internships starting in Jan. 2009 are now being accepted. Thanks for reading.

It is very exciting to learn of the ways that God is opening the doors for the move to Las Vegas. I'm a huge fan of your ministry and the ways that I see XXXChurch striving to keep Christ's love at the center of everything you do.
The Dirty Little Secret podcasts will forever have a soft spot in my heart, for they were instrumental in helping me deal with the guilt, and get back into a Christlike mindset, after turning back into porn for the first time since I had gotten married. My wife was out of town for a long weekend, and despite previous vigilance, I let my guard down and started back on porn boulevard. The guilt was so overwhelming that it wasn't even enjoyable, I could barely even glance at the subject matter that I was bringing up on the screen.
After I broke myself away and wondered how I was going to tame this monster that I had suddenly allowed back into my life, I remember hearing about your ministry a few years before and came to your website, where I learned you had a podcast, with all the older episodes archived. The rest of the weekend, while cleaning up the apartment, walking the dog, running errands, etc... I downloaded and listened to something like 40 podcasts that you guys had up at the time, and I couldn't get enough. Sure you guys were corny at times, and some of your guests were a little out there, but you were my accountability partner the remainder of that weekend, constantly whispering the Truth in my ear. Besides being amazed at the depth of the conversation you had with Ron Jeremy, I remember that you helped me see, for the first time, the damage porn was causing to the women involved. The Vegas casino like facade was torn away, and I was able to see the hurting people behind those images. They aren't dolls, they are God's children, just like you and me. Thinking of what its like on many sets really destroyed any lingering temptation that remained.
Before that weekend, I'd been pretty vigilant on my own since several months prior to my wedding, but the problem was that I was relying on myself. After that weekend, I established some great accountability relationships, confessed to my wife and worked to heal those wounds, and put X3Watch on all the computers. Not that any of that means problem solved- this is, of course, a lifelong fight for purity that we are in, but I just wanted to write to say thanks for your work in creating all these podcasts, as they really were touching lives, even 2 years after you first recorded them for that crazy internet radio station. So, 18 months later, I'm finally writing to say thanks.
One question: will you be able to put out an audio only version of the "webisodes"? I really like to listen to your interviews and updates away from the computer (and without watching it on a little screen).

Also as Steven asked I hope the new updates can still be downloaded I always listen to the current podcasts on my MP3 player during the day
Wish I could go to vegas and help you guys out but shoot I'm 16 and live in missouri, dont think thats possible.
