Holidays can be quite stressful under normal conditions but when a marriage is suffering that level of stress is magnified.
Our focus needs to be where our hearts should be… completely on GOD. Without His grace sometimes a normal day is hard to get through. We tend to focus on ourselves and what we wish we had instead of being grateful for what the Cross enables us to do because of His sacrifice.
I challenge you this holiday season to pour out God’s love onto others. Find a place to serve whether it is a nursing home, a hospital or a local mission. Serve. You will get out of yourself and into the lives of others. This will bring a sense of joy and peace back into your heart.
Don’t do it because I said so… do it because He said so.
“A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another.
Be devoted to one another in brotherly love. Honor one another above yourselves.
And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds.
Happy New Year!
