Get insight, advice, and encouragement from our community of writers on the topics of porn addiction and sexual integrity.
Thank you for coming; you are not alone. You may feel like the only woman in the world who struggles with pornography, but the reality is that porn use among women is on the rise – and has been for years.
If we go by our own statistics and all we’ve learned over the years, we’re pretty certain that you’re being especially secretive and hiding your addiction. That’s okay – it’s how you’ve gotten by. But the time has come for you to find freedom and to shake off the exhausting, nerve-wracking secrecy you’ve been living with.
Understand that there’s a high likelihood that your porn habit is hiding a deeper wound; when you start to eliminate porn, you can free up psychological real estate to deal with that deeper wound and find complete healing.
This is why we recommend getting accountable and finding a supportive community to help you through this time.
You have to tell someone – someone you trust – and bring them into this part of your world. Perhaps you’ve wanted to do that but have felt that it was too frightening or too personal. Perhaps you don’t want anyone to know about your secret, worried that it will lead to gossip or a loss in your reputation. These are real concerns, but we believe your porn usage is a greater concern, and you’ll be amazed at how great you’ll feel when you decide to let go of porn and live a life of openness and honesty.
Maybe you can find a few other women like you or maybe you need to join an online group. Whatever the case, it’s important you find some supportive community where you can just be you. Where you can stop being a mom or a wife and start being just a woman who is dealing with real stuff. We have online groups just for ladies like you. Groups just for women. If you can’t find a community locally this may be a perfect fit.
We’ve also spent years talking to women like you about your sexuality; feel free to browse our blog section. We also have a few resources that can help you start the healing process.
