My friend Jake Luhrs is in a band called August Burns Red. The music is heavy but this guy has such a sweet compassion and love for kids. The more albums you sell the bigger the tour and the less interaction you normally have with your fans. That is what is expected but not with Jake. He started a ministry after seeing a need to care and interact with kids more then just after the show.
I have followed his ministry and kept up with him for the last year and excited because today their new album Leveler comes out. They are playing all summer on the Vans Warped Tour and he and his fiancee Kris have started working with us a bit closer on the Heart Support website. Check out some of the changes over there and if you are out at Warped tour this summer go see ABR. I get to marry them at the end of the summer at some place from that film I still have not seen called The Notebook.
