OK…

So today was a trip! After speaking in Alaska with Jake and Brian and downloading a soldier’s 800 mg of Motrin due to a toothache that wouldn’t stop *or quit*, I found myself needing some medical assistance—some that will take about a month to totally rectify. That gave me time today to check out some videos and I thought this one was pretty interesting. Especially this line in particular:

“…marriages are more likely to end because a woman wants it to end, not because men are more likely to *cheat* but to *settle*…women tend to have higher expectations when it comes to romantic fulfillment…men are conditioned to think that marriage is always going to suck, so they should just settle for whoever and it’s not going to matter.”

If you want to check out the video, it’s here (Oh, the guy says a– once. Just a heads up for the more conservative):

The first thing that came to mind was the Word, which is God (John 1:1): “Now to the married I command, yet not I but the Lord: A wife is not to depart from her husband. But even if she does depart, let her remain unmarried or be reconciled to her husband. And a husband is not to divorce his wife.” (I Corinthians 7:`10-11-NKJV) The second thing that came to mind was in the form of a question to you gals and guys: “*Do you* think that men settle in their relationships?” Especially being that when we discuss people getting less than what they bargained for, it’s usually in reference to the women and the opinion/feelings that they have about the men that they are with. “And if men do settle, why?”

Can’t wait to hear the insights on this one. Sound off…
