Support groups

Do you know where I can find a men’s Christian support group here in Michigan. ?
The Church I go to says that they doing things there to help & prevent porn addiction, but I have not found anything.
Why is it that most Churches act like this is taboo, this is the Greatest threat to the Church ever.
I have been doing really well on my own, I was prayed for to have the spiritual stronghold Cast out of me and back to the pit of Hell.
I have lost my wife, her family, our home, friends and my own family. I am believing that God Can & Will Turn Everything that was meant for evil and turn it around for good and for His Glory.
I have fallen a couple of times, and it seems that it hit’s me most when I’m feeling really down & depressed.
I could really use some Godly men that I could call when I’m feeling that way, it would be real nice if I have someone that would just give me a call from time to time and check up on me.
I do have a Holy hatred for porn and have try to start a new ministry to help other men from some of the pain that I have had to endure. If I can only help one, but hope for many Many more. I have my non profit coaching ministry, but have not got it up and running. It’s just one attack after another to keep me from Helping other’s.
It sure would be nice to have someone, other Brother’s in Christ to come alongside me to keep me in check..,
I don’t care how much we think we have this thing beat, if we are not careful it will creep right back in.
That is the Biggest thing I will have in place with Walking Free is accountability partners and groups for each other, along with accountability software.. Meantime, I am battling this thing on my own, Well me and God…. The more I’m trying to do good For Christ and others the more hell is throwing everything he can at me. { It’s been really hard }

Michigan is a pretty big state with many cities so without knowing what city you are in, I’m not able to assist in that way— but you can check ClebrateRecovery.com to see if there is a group in your area and then you can ask them if there is a group specifically for men’s issues. OR you can call some of the larger churches in your area and ask if there are sexual addictions groups going. We do have X3groups going strong that you are welcome to be a part of. You would call in or use a computer to join the meetings via video chat.

You are wise to seek out accountability and a meeting. I pray you find them!

Porn

If you look at gay porn does that automatically make you gay?

Despite the worldly phrase “you are what you think”, no, I don’t think that looking at gay porn makes you gay.

I do think though that the longer you focus on anything you desire or find desirable, you will go after it.

Honeymoon

I am getting married in a little less than a month, and I couldnt be more excited. I’m excited about starting a family and doing life with my best friend. I am still a Virgin, but I got caught in porn’s trap in my early teen years, but over the last year God has given me freedom from the bondage. I know that my view of sex is so worldly and tainted and twisted from years of porn, and I have no idea what to expect or what a honeymoon is supposed to be like. Do you have any good resources that can help prepare me to serve my future bride well and really love her on our honeymoon? Thanks for any help you can give.
