Questions

I’ve struggled with this addiction for almost 5 years, I’ve tried so much to stop but I just can’t. It just seems I can’t overcome any challenges in my life. I’m losing myself. This time I want to make things right, I want to overcome it this time. I need help.

I’ve heard of several people with all sorts of addictions just plainly ask God to stop their addiction, and bam, it’s gone, no after effects or anything! Can God do this with porn addiction? If so, why not me? How do other people get off their addictions so quickly?? And it’s not like I haven’t tried, I was off it for two months, and then I went back to it, it’s just a repeating cycle now. I think I’ve gotten over it (with God) and then a week or two later I’m back to square one! Why doesn’t God take away my addiction for good? I gave it to Him to control… why me? Why do I have this addiction? And why can’t I get rid of it?

Let me first say that I love XXXChurch and everything you do, y’all are a huge blessing from God. Thank you. My question is a strange one. I’ve been browsing this site for about a year now and I see a lot of people that are highly uplifting and encouraging. But every so often I see someone who makes obscene comments and and basically denies and unravels everything you guys are trying to do. How do you cope with all the haters? It breaks my heart when someone makes a terrible comment on someone heart-felt confession. Why do they even bother coming onto this site JUST to say crap like that? How do you deal with it?
